Jet Propulsion Laboratory Web Designer and Front-End Developer in Pasadena, California
Web Designer and Front-End Developer
New ideas are all around us, but only a few will change the world. That’s our focus at JPL. We ask the biggest questions, then search the universe for answers—literally. We build upon ideas that have guided generations, then share our discoveries to inspire generations to come. Your mission—your opportunity—is to seek out the answers that bring us one step closer. If you’re driven to discover, create, and inspire something that lasts a lifetime and beyond, you’re ready for JPL.
Located in Pasadena, California, JPL has a campus-like environment situated on 177 acres in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and offers a work environment unlike any other: we inspire passion, foster innovation, build collaboration, and reward excellence.
NASA-JPL’s DesignLab, a diverse and inclusive team of graphic design and web development experts who “Dare Mighty Things,” invite a strong Web Designer and Front-End Developer to wear many hats day-to-day and easily adapt to support our customer base – from designing and coding to project management, to help us define the future of the web at JPL and NASA. In addition, creating estimates, requirements gathering and user experience definition, writing and more, are part of our design and development process. Our products are design and experience driven, so your impact and contributions will be meaningful immediately.
Demonstrating great taste and staying on top of industry trends and developments, you will help design and develop a variety of vibrant internal and public outreach and education websites that meet the needs of our internal customer base. You’ll have an understanding of what it means to work with a large internal clientele, and how a thoughtful research-based design approach can help tell their stories, communicate their research, or display their data.
